Using Tech To Bring Concerts Into Your Front Room During Lockdown

Music lovers everywhere have been missing out on live events and concerts due to the current issues facing the world in the last few months. But you don’t have to suffer in silence. With a bit of thinking and some hand tech, you can stream past gigs right in your living room on whichever is your streaming service of choice. While the experience can’t be 100% recreated, hopefully, these tips will get you close enough to the real thing for now, until musical life is back to normal.

Sound bar

The best part of a gig is the music, obviously. But sometimes it can be hard to recreate the quality of a concert in your front room. However, if you are willing to send a bit of money you can get a great quality soundbar for not too much and when combined with your TV they produce high-quality music just for you. Don’t be afraid to play with the settings to get the experience just right. For a true surround sound experience, some soundbars come with extra speakers or subwoofers that can be strategically placed around your room. Just make sure you have the space to use them before you spend too much money on them.

Backlighting

LED backlighting is a brilliant way to bring the disco to the front room. As long as you have a compatible TV all you need to do is stick the LEDs to the back of the TV and plug them in to get them synced up with the colours on your TV. Combine these lights with your soundbar and a widescreen TV to really get as close as you can to the real thing. Make sure you do your research on the light before you purchase them as well. Some lights won’t sync to the TV and you’ll be let with either rotating or solid colour. That being said, however, those styles of LED lights are often much, much cheaper.

Home cinema experience

The cinema experience is much better suited for the more laid back music lover. These days you can buy a home projector for a fairly reasonable price and if you have the wall space to use one then they could be a sound investment. Just remember that you need a flat, single colour surface for the projector to work properly and adequate space in the room to keep it as far back as required.

If you really wanted to push the boat out, you could get your own home cinema design to set yourself up for movie night in the future. After the lockdown era has passed of course. Now, it won’t be an option for everyone due to size and space limitations, but if you have the time, space, and money then why not? If you go for a built-in cinema or a projector, once your up and running just sit back and enjoy the music.

Conclusion

Hopefully, these tips have given you something to think about when wanting to up your music viewing game. It may be a bit expensive to do some of these options, but for this year at least, it may well be the only option available.
