iinvad3 – ‘Mix It Up’

iinvad3, pronounced “eye invade” are a duo from Broward County, Florida, and are composed of Lynx, from Haiti, and Jamaican J Glory. They met through a mutual friend in 2007 while working on their own projects, and realised that their styles, which comprise trap, RnB, pop, and Miami bass, would work well together – not to mention their positive messages – and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

iinvad3’s latest single, ‘Mix It Up’ feels like a popping club tune, but the clip, directed by Charlie Sky, takes place at a car show, filled to the brim with vintage classic cars, alongside finely polished modern vehicles. There’s plenty of bling – their clothes, gorgeous girls on their arms, and plenty of gold in the form of chains, rims, and grills.

Energetic and upbeat, rhyming hard and fast set against a guitar-rich dance melody, it’s light-hearted, laid back, and fun, and most of all, the energy of the track will rub off on the listener and get you up out of your chair and bopping and popping along to the rhythm.
