John Grimes Of #Jedward Honours Snow Patrol With Gorgeous Acoustic Cover Of ‘Chasing Cars’

We’ve featured a lot of acoustic covers by Jedward’s John Grimes in recent weeks – and as long as he keeps uploading them we’re going to write about them because we love them so much!

Today John has uploaded to JedwardTV a cover of the Snow Patrol classic, ‘Chasing Cars’, which Jedward fans will remember the duo covering during their UK tour in 2013. This new version is a more chilled, laid back version, with John singing alone, accompanied by his Gibson acoustic guitar. It’s a stunning rendition, like the rest of John’s covers, shot straight to camera and uploaded to YouTube, with no further editing.

John’s vocals are pure and soft, enunciating every word with raw emotion, additionally enhanced by a slight tremolo in his voice. You get the feeling that this song is one that means a great deal to John.

John and his twin brother Edward, will be going on tour in the UK this May, performing at Manchester’s Fac251 on the 8th, The Camden Assembly, London, on the 9th, and winding up at Audio Glasgow on May 10. Tickets are available through Ticketweb. VIP meet and greets for all three concerts sold out in a matter of minutes.

Additionally, John and Edward will be performing on March 16 at The Three Sisters, Edinburgh, as part of the annual Cowgate St Pats Festival. It will be the fourth consecutive year that the Dublin duo have played over the increasingly popular event. See here for further details.

Jedward released their fourth album, ‘Voice Of A Rebel’, last June, and have since been working on songs for their fifth album. You can stream and download ‘Voice Of A Rebel’ here, and buy the CD from Jedward’s official website.
