Chloe Tang – ‘Fanning The Flames’

Chloe Tang is no stranger to us here at EP, and her latest single, ‘Fanning The Flames’, is quite possibly the best release yet from the singer who nowadays lives in Los Angeles.

Flawlessly blending pop and RnB, Chloe’s sound is constantly developing, and her confidence as an artist is growing with each release. In her own words, her latest track, ‘Fanning The Flame’, is

“music about real emotions and experiences – not what people think pop music should be.”

‘Fanning The Flames’ is one of those songs we can probably all relate to. The bad boy or girl we know we shouldn’t have anything to do with, but we can’t help ourselves. We get addicted to the thrill of the adventure, and the beauty of it all – except that it quickly gets so messy and not so wonderful. You’re in a bad romance, but you don’t know how to escape. The piano is hauntingly dark, with just the barest minimum of percussive elements and it’s the perfect match for the lyrics and Chloe’s incredible vocals.

Up and down, confused, I know which way I need to go.
But in your bed is where we end up losing self-control.
Cause you and I ain’t blind. You and I ain’t right.

‘Fanning The Flame’ is co-written by Chloe, alongside Taylor Jamison, Zulaica, and Jacobi.e, with the latter two producing.
