New Disco Pop Band 8 Apart Releases Debut Single ‘Give It Up’

South African duo 8 Apart channel 70s funk vibes with inspirations from disco, creating a totally awesome new pop sound in their debut single, ‘Give It Up’.

‘Give It Up’ bursts into life with shimmering guitar lines, before launching into the upbeat and super catchy refrain. The track is infused with punk while driven by punchy drum rhythms, as well as Daft Punk-esque bass, and vocals which call to mind the king of funk himself, Jamiroquai, while also reminding us of T-Pain’s auto-tune vocalising style. High end production values pull this piece together, which will have you jumping out of your seat and dancing around the room right from the very first note.

8 Apart have had a decade of playing and creating music together, and opened a recording studio in 2015. Their music is filled with positive energy and power, and the pair are now ready to bring it to the world.

‘Give It Up’ is out tomorrow, February 14. Find out more about 8 Apart online on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
