Indie Folk Songwriter Amie K Releases Latest Single ‘Bliss’

Liverpool-based singer/songwriter Amie K has teamed up with frequent collaborator, producer Guy Britton, for her most recent single, ‘Bliss’. Released on January 24, the pop-infused track is an exciting showcase for the singer’s considerable talents.

While the track makes good use of rich harmonies and looped percussion, Amie’s vocals are nonetheless the focal point of the song, clear and sweet, as she sings with confidence about how she’s finally happy in who she is: she’s reached a point in her life when she is content; in short, she’s found bliss.

Musically there’s a sort of 80s vibe to the song, a combination of the synths and the tempo. It’s the perfect accompaniment to Amie K’s voice, and lays just far enough underneath the vocal track to not be obtrusive.

Amie K has fully immersed herself in the Merseyside scene since moving to Liverpool, playing alongside the likes of Aya Music, Johnny Sands, and The Green Tangerines. Previously she had supported Luke Jackson, and Sam Carter, on their tour dates in Wiltshire.

‘Bliss’ is the first single from Amie Ks forthcoming album. Find Amie K online on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
