Katie Kittermaster ‘Coming Home At Dawn’ Debut EP Review

Bright and hopeful new talent Katie Kittermaster has released her debut EP ‘Coming Home At Dawn’, which balances some of the most astute, honest and mature lyrics for a young, up and coming artist.

The EP opens with ‘Sunday Afternoon’, Kittermaster’s debut single which serves as an ode to the comfortable, healthy relationship we all dream of, where “being in each others” company is enough,” (Kittermaster on her songwriting themes). Kittermaster’s beautifully understated voice is our guide throughout this 5-track EP of sweet and heartfelt love songs, one of which was impressively written at age 15.

“It’s like kaleidoscopes, kaleidoscopes of memories / come running back, running back to me/ but he never does […] and I know that now” sings Kittermaster, with a sense of maturity and acceptance that I think we can all agree we wish we had had at the tender age of 15. The EP is full of honest observations written from the point of view of someone navigating the world of romance for the first time and promises to find many fans in young listeners looking for someone to put these difficult emotions into words.

Currently embarking on a European tour with the talented songstress Lucy Spraggan for Katie Kittermaster her music career is bound to kick into full bloom in 2020.
