Giselle Torres – ‘Navidad en la Playa’

Mexican-American actress, singer, songwriter, composer, and dancer, Giselle Torres, started her entertainment career at 2 years old. Unsurprisingly when you realise that the mother of the Miami-raised artist had a theatre company. At the age of 10, Giselle was one of the top 6 finalists on the X Factor, and from then she has garnered more than 900 million views – and more than 2 million subscribers – on her YouTube channel.

It gets better – Giselle was chosen to sing for Pope Francis, in 2013, on his visit to Juarez, Mexico, which saw her perform in front of 250,000 people. She sold out seven concerts in 2017 in Mexico City alone.

Giselle moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to pursue her dream of acting, and from there she’s been cast in a wide range of TV programmes, including ‘Speechless’ on ABC, Comcast’s sitcom ‘Five @ 305’, Netflix’s ‘The Big Show Show’, and Amazon’s ‘Princess Cut 2 &3’. She was also chosen to play Maria in the regional production of ‘West Side Story’, at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

Wanting to pursue her dream of acting, Giselle moved to Los Angeles in 2018. And since then, she’s made that dream happen: she can be seen on Comcast’s exclusive TV sitcom Five @ 305, ABC’s Speechless, Netflix’s The Big Show Show, Amazon’s Princess Cut 2 & 3, and several shorts and feature films. She was also chosen to play “Maria” in the regional production of West Side Story at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

Giselle’s latest song, ‘Navidad en la Playa’, is a festive one. In the video, Giselle builds a gingerbread house, then puts on her coat and gloves in order to take her dog for a walk. Slipping and falling over in the snow, she comes to – on the beach – La Playa – where the rest of the song takes a warm weather holiday turn instead of the chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
