Live Review: Kate Lomas, The Grace, London, 02/10/19

Closing off 2019 in style, indie inspired electro-pop artist Kate Lomas put on a dazzling performance at The Grace in London, off the back of releasing her dreamy summer bop ‘Happy Like This’ alongside accompanying party-popping visual.

Confidently coming onto stage, the presence of a true pop star radiated from Kate Lomas’ presence. Commanding the sold-out room decorated floor to roof in shiny disco balls, floating pink balloons and summery promotional shots of the singer stretching wall to wall, Lomas launched into her hour-long set with some seriously infectious picks.

From the unforgettably catchy ‘Lemonade’ with its memorable chorus and danceable vibe, this song set the tone for the rest of the evening. A bubbly, talkative stage presence in-tact, Lomas, whilst performing at a small scale show was able to naturally get the crowd on their feet, moving and grooving to the contagious vibe of Kate’s material.

Moving on down the setlist and ‘Drink 2 U’ by far garnered the biggest reaction from the audience. Lomas’ smash single, she dedicated the track to her followers, supporters and fans present in The Grace in a celebratory drink to them. Off the back of its recent release, ‘Happy Like This’ brought all the summer centric feels to the glittering venue, with its party-popping appeal implementing an undeniable sense of euphoria and contentment to Kate Lomas and all those present.

After having a whirlwind of 12 months which has seen Kate Lomas enjoy an influx of accomplishments, from dominating Spotify’s New Pop Revolution Playlist to making her Glastonbury Festival debut. For Lomas, 2020 is going to be an even bigger, better year for this musical talent.
