It’s Getting Hot In Here: Terry Robb Warns That ‘It Might Get Sweaty’ With New Single

Back in August we introduced readers to Terry Robb, an extraordinary musician who has not only won awards, but has in fact won one so many times they’ve re-named it after him.

He’s also in the Oregon Music Hall Of Fame, has been praised by Rolling Stone, Acoustic Guitar, Down Beat, Guitar Player, Vintage Guitar, and Living Blues, the last one which declared him to be one of the nation’s finest acoustic guitarists. He’s toured with Buddy Guy, Steve Miller, and John Fahey; he’s appeared on ‘Late Night With Conan O’Brien’, he’s played at the Rose Garden before a Portland Trail Blazers game, and he’s collaborated with the Oregon Symphony. You get the picture.

Terry Robb’s latest single, ‘It Might Get Sweaty’, comes from his most recent album, ‘Confessin’ My Dues’. It’s yet another demonstration of what Robb is capable of – there’s nothing fancy, it’s just straight down the line quality guitar playing, a superb example of his flexibility and mercurial talent. Rob is in his natural environment, where he is most at ease: the recording studio. He starts out quite conventionally, but it’s not long before the track really starts to live up to its name, the notes coming out at a breathtaking pace, with each phrase in its place, carefully considered, beautifully placed, exquisitely performed. It’s not just Robb; he leads a 3 piece group, but it’s clear these guys are also total pros, with supreme dedication. Robb’s fingers are swift on the fret-board, while his confidence, not to mention grace, borders on supernatural. We’re grateful it’s all been captured in the video:
