The Luck released their new single ‘Vertigo’ on Friday September 6th 2019, taken from the band’s breakout album ‘Ready To Run’.
‘Vertigo’ marks yet another super single to be released from the sibling duo’s debut record ‘Ready To Run’, which has already reached #1 in the UK Country iTunes chart and has charted at #13 in the OCC UK Americana chart.
Singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Max Luck said about the song.
“We went through a period where we were just… overwhelmed, we were trying to keep up” said Max when asked about the inspiration behind their upcoming musical offering. “We had all these fears and doubts, we felt stuck, but we recognised the feelings, rationalised them and worked through it, channelling negativity into positive energy, to push forward.”
‘Vertigo’ was written, recorded and produced during The Luck’s time making their inaugural LP out in LA where the pair put their time to good use, immersing themselves in the Americana-Country scene out in the states. These sounds then went onto have a profound impact on the musical direction ‘Vertigo’ ended up taking.
Starting with a dynamic guitar riff and powerful drum beat, the single is quickly taken up a notch with the inclusion of Max’s beautiful and yet commanding vocals. Esmay soon joins the mix and her voice, equal parts ethereal and captivating, is the perfect addition to this motivational anthem.
