Talon – ‘Unique’

Talon decided to give music a shot after watching a studio video of Travis Scott and Metro Boomin. He discovered he had a knack for it, and ‘Unique’ is his manifesto.

Drawing inspiration from aritss such as Lil Baby and Gunna, Talon says his biggest challenge so far as a new artist has been not knowing about professional studio time. Now he’s found one he enjoys, after sampling a number of in-house studios. The music video sees the spotlight focused on Talon, with a red smoke accent, and a city glowing in the distance. Breaking it down, he raps, “If you hating Ima lay you all down” and makes sure to stay optimistic; there’s no room in his life for any more negativity. ‘Unique’ explains all of Talon’s pitfalls with rapping, finding his own sound, and climbing the hip-hop ladder.

Talon recognises that the only way is up, and he looks to God as the source of all his blessings, and likewise wants his music to incorporate his faith. Additionally, the car used in the video is not only a prop but has been in his family for quite some time. His grandfather passed it down after he passed away. He wants his fans to know, “I’m giving people a new perspective on how to stay positive and trust in God throughout life’s toughest hardships.” So many factors set him up to lose but Talon is taking on the industry headfirst, ready to beat the game. Check him out here. You can watch the video for ‘Unique’ below.
