Kay Da Ace Releases Brand New Single ‘Daily’

‘Daily’ is the second release this year from Kay Da Ace, and follows on from his single, ‘Laye Mi’, which came out in March.

The latest single, which is out now, and was produced by Theory Sound, falls mostly into the Afrobeat spectrum, but there’s a fair amount of Dancehall scattered throughout.

Kay Da Ace says he wishes to express a number of sentiments with the track, including “peace and love, care, affection, patience, protection, and settling”. Astute listeners will hear the nod to Marvin Gaye’s ‘Sexual Healing’, which lays the tone of the song, and sees Kay Da Ace’s vocals offset by lively synths and a soothing rhythm section.

The accompanying video was shot in Malaga, Spain, and was co-directed by Kay Da Ace himself, alongside Kunai Lester, aka Montecarlodream.

Now living in London, Kay Da Ace was born in Nigeria, where his passion for music was evident from an early age, which saw him performing at school functions, and writing his own music. Now he has support from MTV Base Africa, and Sound City, along with airplay on a number of radio stations in Nigeria.

‘Daily’ is available to stream and download on all major digital media services. You can find Kay Da Ace online on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SoundCloud, and Spotify.
