Will Young Releases Two Performance Videos With VEVO

To celebrate the release of Will Young’s new album,  ‘Lexicon’, VEVO announces the release of Will Young’s live performance of ‘Jealousy’ and ‘All The Songs’.

Will Young has spent much of the last two decades at the forefront of pop in the UK, having won the inaugural series of Pop Idol at the age 22, which shot him to national fame and the top of the charts.

One of the very first success stories of televised talent shows, Will Young’s ‘Pop Idol’ victory and unprecedented subsequent chart-storming career became an iconic part of noughties pop culture.

Four #1 and two #2 chart-topping albums, two Brit Awards, and four UK number one singles followed, with hits such as ‘Leave Right Now’ and ‘Jealousy’ making him a household name. An acting career blossomed concurrently, with roles on screen and stage, including Baz Lurhmann’s ‘Strictly Ballroom’ in the West End, and presenting gigs on TV and radio. Young is also an active and vocal campaigner for the LGBT movement. His podcast, ‘Homo Sapiens’ (co-presented with Chris Sweeney), has been such a success that they are planning to grow it into a festival, and potentially even expand into children’s books that focus on diversity.

‘Jealousy’ and ‘All The Songs’ are now streaming on all platforms. Keep up with exclusive content from artists all over the world on YouTube.com/Vevo.

About the author

There’s a lot of music out there - good music. At Essentially Pop our remit is that we cover music that deserves to be heard, with a particular focus on independent artists. That doesn't mean we won't cover your old favourites - rather we hope to give you some new favourites as well.

We no longer accept unpaid PR agency work. We believe the creative arts have value, and this includes writing. As always, we will write about artists who contact us - or who we contact - for free - but we can no longer work free of charge for PR agencies. We work hard, we put in a lot of hours writing, and we ask that you respect that. Contact us for our very reasonable rates.
