Netflix Launches Official Trailer For ROLLING THUNDER REVUE: A BOB DYLAN STORY By Martin Scorsese

ROLLING THUNDER REVUE: A BOB DYLAN STORY BY MARTIN SCORSESE will launch on Netflix and in select cinemas on June 12. A box set of the live recordings releases on June 7.

44 years in the making, ‘ROLLING THUNDER REVUE: A BOB DYLAN STORY BY MARTIN SCORSESE’ sees a busload of musicians assembled by Bob Dylan, set off across the US in 1975.

Exhausted politically, economically, and socially, they hit the road Kerouac style in search of new creative horizons. The tour, ‘The Rolling Thunder Revue’, sees Dylan at his most candid – playful, mask-wearing, intense, expansive, rejuvenated.

Martin Scorsese has taken footage that’s been abandoned for decades, now gloriously restored, and captures both an icon and a nation in transition.

Viewers are taken into the heart of a freewheeling, electrifying gamble, as Scorsese performs some breath-taking sleight of hand, summoning nostalgic fantasists, boxers, magicians, starlets and testifiers of all stripes, and explodes the boundaries of what makes a conventional documentary.

Scorsese’s chronicle features  and, giving his first on-camera interview in a decade, Bob Dylan.

‘ROLLING THUNDER REVUE: A BOB DYLAN STORY BY MARTIN SCORSESE’ vibrates with the promise of America, a then-200-year-old experiment in a state of flux. The film goes beyond mere reclamation of some of the most extraordinary music of Dylan’s career – it’s a roadmap into the wild country of artistic self-reinvention.

‘ROLLING THUNDER REVUE: A BOB DYLAN STORY BY MARTIN SCORSESE’ is directed by Martin Scorsese, produced by Jeff Rosen and Margaret Bodde, and edited by David Tedeschi.
