Calva Louise – ‘I Heard A Cry’

Manchester trio Calva Louise make fuzzy surf pop rock and their single, ‘I Heard A Cry’ is no exception to this.

Fast and furious, it’s all slashy guitars and strident female vocals, calling to mind not so much the likes of Hole, but maybe a more rambunctious version of The Bangles – perhaps crossed with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and an added dash of Debbie Harry.
