Swedish Songstress Zara Larsson To Rock Electric Brixton

Swedish songstress Zara Larsson will perform at Electric Brixton on 22 May. The pop superstar will also perform at the Albert Hall, Manchester, on 21 May.

With a vocal style that falls somewhere between Rihanna, Lorde, and Robyn, Zara, who  comes from Stockholm, first caught the attention of  the public when she won Swedish talent show, ‘Talang Sverige’, in 2008. She signed with TEN Music Group, and her debut EP, ‘Introducing’, which contained the hit single, ‘Uncover’, was released in 2013. ‘Uncover’ was certified triple-platinum in Sweden.

Zara followed this up with a second EP, ‘Let Me Reintroduce Myself’, and her first full length album, ‘1’, which came out in 2014 via TEN Music Group and Universal, and contained the singles, ‘She’s Not Me’, ‘Carry You Home’, and ‘Rooftop’, all of which entered the Swedish Top Ten.

Larsson’s international breakthrough came in 2015, with the singles, ‘Lush Life’ breaking into the top 10 charts across Europe, and ‘Never Forget You’ (featuring MNEK) hitting the Top Ten in the UK, and certified gold in the United States. The tracks eventually appeared on her sophomore album, ‘2’, which she released following collaborations with Tinie Tempah on ‘Girls Like’, and David Guetta for the 2016 UEFA Euro Cup theme song, ‘This One’s for You’. By the time she released ‘So Good’, in early 2017, four additional singles had been issued, including the Charlie Puth-penned, ‘So Good’, with Ty Dolla $ign, ‘Symphony’, with Clean Bandit, and the MNEK-produced, ‘Ain’t My Fault’. October 2018 saw the release of the stadium-sized single, ‘Ruin My Life’.
