#Jedward Preview Lyrics To Second Song From New Album ‘Voice Of A Rebel’

Hot on the heels of the lyric reveal of their song, ‘Teenage Runaway’, Jedward have released the words for another track from their upcoming fourth album, ‘Voice Of A Rebel’. The second song, ‘Respect Your Dreams’, comes ahead of their UK tour, which starts with two nights at the historic Manchester venue, The Factory, 10 and 11 May.

With lyrics such as

“Go follow your heart don’t you be afraid

Laugh the pressure off

Give yourself the space to grow”

…’Respect Your Dreams’ is as much a mantra for the twins themselves as it is for those listening to the song – truly inspirational and relatable. Like previous song, ‘Teenage Runaway’, which they explained was about trusting your own instincts and following your own path, and not “letting society wash your colour out”, ‘Respect Your Dreams’ is a song of empowerment, and aims to instil courage in those who might feel downtrodden or unworthy.

Sharing across social media, the Dublin duo said that the song is about

“Inspiration and making sure people don’t forget about their dreams, and give time to what you love.”

“It’s nice to remind ourselves that we all just need to keep going, and this song has a great energy about it.”

“We all need to protect ourselves and thoughts from those people that aren’t worth it! Because if you are always open, people will bring you down.”

The lyrics, which are written in full on a post on Jedward’s Instagram account, are a celebration of people choosing to live their lives as themselves: a philosophy which the greater community should embrace.
