Holy Beach – ‘Ships Off The Coast’

Out of Atlanta, Georgia comes Holy Beach, with their brand new album, ‘All That Matters Is This Matter’, set for release June 28, through Ursa Minor Records. First single to be released is ‘Ships Off The Coast’, a powerfully emotive track for the metal band.

Although only formed early this year, Holy Beach have earned themselves a reputation for high energy shows and with their first single come out all guns blazing. ‘All That Matters Is This Matter’, is set for release this summer, and has been co-produced by Jeff Leonard Jr, who is also known for his work with Shinedown, Sleeper Agent, and Framing Hanley. Opening with furious percussion and drums, before launching into strong vocals, ‘Ships Off The Coast’ grabs hold of the listener and refuses to let go, tearing at their heart and soul. Even in the last 15 seconds, when it feels like it might be losing its grip a little bit, it regains its control and holds fast to the ears of the hearers. Grungy and rocky, it perfectly conjures up the idea of ships smashing against the rocks in a storm.

Holy Beach are a new band but the sextet is  composed of veterans of the music industry. John Lally, vocalist and guitarist for shoegaze band Sleep Therapy, didn’t feel the music that he was coming up with was suitable for his band, so with friends Jon Hilton (of Us Prizms), Mike Gibbs (of Krem Love), and Jason Petty all on warring guitars, Kevin Faivre on bass, and Jordan Hershaft (of The Tens) on percussion, he founded Holy Beach.

‘All That Matters Is This Matter’ was recorded at Atlanta’s Tree Sound Studios, and Cassida Studios, and comprises eight soaring hard rock tracks. You can find out more about the band and their music on Bandcamp, Facebook, and Instagram.
