Ward Thomas Release New single ‘One More Goodbye’ And Will Play Isle Of Wight Festival 16th June

Ward Thomas have today released their new single, ‘One More Goodbye’, from their Top 10 album, ‘Restless Minds’. The single is out on WTW Music/Sony Music. The duo have just finished a 14 date UK headline tour, but there’s no time to as they’re off to Australia to support David Gray next week on his tour, as well as a slot at Bluesfest, Byron Bay. Straight after this the twin sisters will be supporting Jack Savoretti on his European tour, commencing May 1. Ward Thomas will also be performing at this year’s Isle Of Wight Festival, on June 16.

Ward Thomas were recently awarded the very prestigious Jeff Walker Global Artist Award by the Country Music Association, during this year’s Country To Country Festival at the O2. The award was given in recognition of their achievements in spreading the country genre internationally.

‘One More Goodbye’ starts with a simplet, yet soulful piano line, with the emotional ballad building to an anthemic climax. A choir adds further depth to the gorgeously poignant lyrics. Speaking of the song, Ward Thomas said,

“This song is about savouring that last moment, that last goodbye. Maybe saying goodbye forever or maybe for a long time or just an unknown amount of time. For us it’s one of the album’s most emotional moments.”

New album ‘Restless Minds’ is the follow up to their 2016 number one charting debut, ‘Cartwheels’, and finds Ward Thomas firmly established as cutting edge exponents of the new wave of country flavoured pop music.
