Children Behave – Tiffany Re-Records ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ For A New Generation

Tiffany has released a new version of ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ together with a fun video which sees her recording in the studio, as well as the streets of LA, and Venice Beach.

Originally a hit for Tommy James and the Shondells back in 1967, Tiffany’s take on the track topped the charts all over the world back in 1987-88, while she was still a teenager. The track has seen a revival thanks to its appearance in the Netflix series, ‘The Umbrella Academy’:

Speaking of the track, Tiffany said,

“It’s just a great song. I’m really lucky to have it in my life. On my new album, ‘Pieces Of Me’, I was inspired by the Foo Fighters, maybe a little Go-Gos and Blondie mixed together…with Tiffany. I wanted to show ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ in that kind of a version, one that shows the layers of my new music.”

The song’s sing-along opening lyric is key in the new video.

“It incorporates fun and family. They’re wearing “children behave” t-shirts. We’re starting a new nation of “children behavers”! It’s an adult version. ‘Let’s not behave! We’ve made it to our 40s. We’re rocking’ it!’ Let’s have some fun, shall we?”

This summer Tiffany will be performing at Rewind North & South, and is looking forward to returning to the UK to perform for the fans. Tickets are available here.
