MAREN MORRIS – New album ‘GIRL’ Set For Release This Spring Plus UK Leg of GIRL: World Tour In May

GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter MAREN MORRIS’ 14-track sophomore album is set to be released this Spring, coinciding with the UK leg of ‘GIRL: THE WORLD TOUR’ on Columbia Records Nashville.

To close out the historical week for ‘GIRL’, Morris released her new powerful, Dave Meyers directed, music video for ‘GIRL’ via YouTube/YouTube Music.

For ‘GIRL‘ Morris once again tapped GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter/producer busbee, who co-produced Morris’ 2016 debut, ‘HERO’, to co-produce 11 of the 14 songs on the album with her, while also adding GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter/producer Greg Kurstin to co-produce 3 of the 14 songs with Morris.

Adding to the excitement of two new songs, a new music video, and new album merely a month away from release, Morris was also tapped by Genius, the unique music media company that’s powered by a two million+ community of superfans and artists ranging from Cardi B to Lin-Manuel Miranda, to be the very first Country artist to ever be part of its flagship video series VERIFIED. The series features artists such as John Legend, Maggie Rogers, Troye Sivan, and Future breaking down the lyrics and meaning behind their songs.  Watch the Maren Morris GENIUS VERIFIED here.

About the author

There’s a lot of music out there - good music. At Essentially Pop our remit is that we cover music that deserves to be heard, with a particular focus on independent artists. That doesn't mean we won't cover your old favourites - rather we hope to give you some new favourites as well.

We no longer accept unpaid PR agency work. We believe the creative arts have value, and this includes writing. As always, we will write about artists who contact us - or who we contact - for free - but we can no longer work free of charge for PR agencies. We work hard, we put in a lot of hours writing, and we ask that you respect that. Contact us for our very reasonable rates.
