‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ On DVD And VOD 3 June

With BAFTA® and Academy Award® nominated performances from Melissa McCarthy and Richard E. Grant, as well as nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay, ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ will be available on Digital Download from 27 May, and on DVD and VOD from 3 June.

‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ directed by Marielle Heller, also known for ‘The Diary Of A Teenage Girl’, and is a true-life comedic drama, which sees Melissa McCarthy and Richard E. Grant come together as partners in crime. Both McCarthy and Grant received BAFTA®, Academy Award® and Golden Globe nominations for Leading Actress, and Supporting Actor, respectively, for their incredible performances in this fascinating, and captivating biopic.

McCarthy portrays Lee Israel, a frustrated, hard-drinking author who can barely afford to pay her rent or bills in 1990s New York. Desperate for money, Israel soon hatches a scheme to forge letters by famous writers and sell them to bookstores and collectors. When the dealers start to catch on, Lee recruits a dubious friend to help her continue her self-destructive cycle of trickery and deceit.
