Alternative Artist Erøs Set To Release Debut Single ‘Unsanctified’

Due for release on April 28, ‘Unsanctified’ is the first single from alternative artist, Erøs. Originally from the UK, Erøs now makes his home in Brisbane, Australia.

For ‘Unsanctified’, Erøs’ sound is something akin to a Gregorian chant, as he sings of his own personal experiences in facing up to oppression, and traditional views. His lyrics are, despite their solemnity, passionate, and he examines themes of trust, deceit, romance, and betrayal. In many senses it’s less of a modern song as an age-old story, given a pop touch.

‘Unsanctified’ is earwormy, and Erøs’ vocals are beautiful and evocative. Erøs is more than just a singer, but rather he has an entire image, which has been heavily inspired by Greek mythology. He wears a simple outfit which he has modified by a kimono, and in his image he strives to not imitate, but instead, embody the idea of Erøs, within every aspect of his creativity.

Erøs has always been passionate about the magic of words and the effect they have, whether in books or songs, and so he continues to build up a portfolio of music, as well as poetry. Following on from ‘Unsanctified’, Erøs will be releasing more moody, electronic tracks, as he experiments with darkening his sound.

‘Unsanctified’ will be available to stream and download from all major digital media platforms as of April 28.

You can find Erøs online on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
