Neon Waltz, Produced By Spring King’s Tarek Musa, Release ‘Friends Who Lost Control’ – OUT NOW

To coincide with Neon Waltz’s biggest ever UK headline tour this month covering 15 dates nationwide, the band release a brand new single ‘Friends Who Lost Control’ on Ignition Records – available to stream and download here.

The single is produced by Spring King’s Tarek Musa and recorded at the iconic The Motor Museum studio in Liverpool.  The track is accompanied by an innovatively shot video, directed by and starring the band’s front man, Jordan Shearer, shot in Liverpool city centre during the recording sessions. Precarious walking in reverse and astutue editing combine to unusually alienating, yet entrancing effect.

Frontman Jordan Shearer explains the inspiration behind the track:

“’Friends Who Lost Control’ is a relentless look at life without balance… choosing a path out of the norm and the downfalls that come with it”.

Lauded by the NME as “Scotland’s coolest new gang” and by The Times as “A band to get excited about”, their debut album ‘Strange Hymns’ was critically acclaimed on release.

‘Friend Who Lost Control’ follows recent single ‘The Stranger Things’ which was playlisted byRadio X and received support from BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music, plus widespread praise across a host of music media.

Neon Waltz spent 2018 touring relentlessly and building on their loyal live fanbase. Following a tour with The Sherlocks and a vast array of festivals, they ended the year with a sold out tour with DMA’s in December.

Their current headline tour takes them on a 1,200 mile round trip, which will also see the band appear at Sunday Sessions, Norwich and Bught Park, Inverness with headliner Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – and more dates across the summer to be announced soon.
