Irish Singer Songwriter And Actor Damian McGinty Announces New Album ‘Young Forever’ Out March 22

Irish singer/songwriter/actor Damian McGinty, star of Glee and Celtic Thunder, has announced the release of his new album, ‘Young Forever’. The record will be out on Friday 22 March 2019 with pre-order of the CD available now from his official website store.

Damian’s latest single from the album, ‘Home Sweet Home’, is out now. The track is a powerful pop-infused anthem which weaves an energetic tale of an Irishman making a home in Los Angeles, and at its core describes the universal highs and lows of home.

‘Home Sweet Home’ is the follow up to single ‘Geronimo’, the first track released from ‘Young Forever’, an album of original songs.

More than twelve years in the making, ‘Young Forever’ distills and explores the sounds, adventures, insights, and wisdom earned from Irishman Damian McGinty’s decade on the road with Celtic Thunder, his time on PBS and ‘Glee’, his years living in LA and his observations and experiences of the human condition. The pop-infused album runs the gamut from the upbeat ‘Sweetest Goodbye’, to the powerful ‘Home Sweet Home’, and from the hopeful ‘Love On Rainy Days’, to the haunting ‘Blue and Red Lights’.

The songs on this album reflect a deep understanding of our universal humanity: our common struggles, triumphs, relationships, and loneliness; our longing for love, escape, and discovery.

McGinty kicks off his ‘Forever Young’ tour across the US in March/April 2019 and is the star of a new film coming out in November 2019, ‘Santa Fake’.

‘Young Forever’ was recorded in Belfast with Damian’s producers Cian Sweeney (1000 Beasts), Matt Weir, and Pete Wallace, and marks the culmination of a twelve-year journey for McGinty. When we first met him through the internationally renowned show Celtic Thunder, Damian was a fourteen-year-old in braces. Now, he’s a twenty-six-year-old man with more than a decade of tours, concerts, TV, movies, and special appearances behind him. And singing. Always singing. And with this new album, Damian adds songwriter to that list as well. Having worked the past several years on the craft of songwriting, McGinty wrote the bulk of the songs on ‘Young Forever’’ alongside writers/composers Mark Caplice and Ryan O’Shaughnessy.
