Richard Lynch – ‘Pray on the Radio’

Richard Lynch has found his way to a lot of music charts around the world with his brand of traditional style country music. His single, ‘A Better Place’ hit the top spot on the New Music Weekly AM/FM country chart, the IndieWorld Country Record Report, and a fantastic 32 weeks at number 1 on the Roots Music Report True Country Chart. He followed this up with 4 further number 1 singles, including a duet with Grammy Award winner, Rhonda Vincent, ‘Back In Love Again‘. Richard has won many awards, and is a member of the Independent Country Music Hall of Fame, and in addition to his appearances on WSM Radio Nashville, and RFD TV, among others, he’s the host of ‘Traditionally Lynch‘, and founder of the Love Tattoo Foundation for veterans.

Richard’s single, ‘Pray On The Radio’, was released last September, and tells the story of when he was asked by a DJ to pray on the radio. The song takes us through the preceding events, and how a DJ asked him to pray. Lynch explains,

“This song is truly inspirational. I was traveling down the highway with my wife Donna and speaking to a DJ on the radio, for an interview. After talking for awhile, he suddenly said, ‘would you mind praying with me on the radio?’ That was indeed a first, and I suddenly found myself with a head and heart full of lyrics.”

Sung in his traditional country style, accompanied by his guitar and waltz time percussion, Lynch conveys with true emotion how he felt to be asked, and shares his joy at having been asked to pray. His soothing voice picks up every feeling he was going through, as if it was happening to him for the very first time, with the result a heartfelt and sincere song.

‘Pray On The Radio’ is available to stream and download from Reverbnation, Spotify, Amazon, Deezer, and iTunes.
