Lucie Silvas Announces New Single ‘Black Jeans’ Critically-Acclaimed Artist To Join Anderson East And Tom Odell On US Tour

2018 was an unforgettable year for critically-acclaimed artist Lucie Silvas, and 2019 is looking even bigger, starting with the release of her new single, ‘Black Jeans’, which she will follow up by joining Anderson East’s ‘Encore World Tour’ this February. Immediately after this she joins Tom Oldell, performing at major theatres and clubs across North America.

Co-written by Lucie, JD McPherson, and Trent Dabbs, ‘Black Jeans’ is a highlight from her most recent album, ‘E.G.O.’ and is currently available from iTunes, Spotify, and all other digital retailers.

The track sees Silvas evoke a 60s SoCal flavour, along with a taste of Nashville in the form of slide guitar punctating delicate acoustic strumming. Lyrics such as

When I’m wearing my black jeans,

maybe you won’t even recognize me,

and you know I won’t just take a backseat

have seen the song become an album favourite, with NPR declaring that it,

suspends temperate touches of Laurel Canyon-style psychedelia in a sublime cinematic haze… and depicts the numbed self-preservation required for a woman to pursue desirability.

Speaking of the song, Lucie Silvas said,

’Black Jeans’ is somewhat of a centerpiece for this new record, being able to lay back a bit and find perspective on everything around me and my place in it. Feels like an escape of some kind – but not running away from anything, just running towards something new and good. It sounds like I’ve always felt when I sing but until now, I didn’t know how to put into a song.

Lucie will bring to Anderson East’s Encore World Tour her combination of retro pop sonics, narrative storytelling, and countrified spirit, and will without doubt electrify audiences across the country. She shows no signs of slowing down and with her soaring vocals, impressive multi-instrumental prowess, and candid narration, will endear herself to audiences on Tom Odell’s tour, immediately after Anderson East’s.

‘E.G.O.’ was met with widespread critical acclaim, and the songs are a cross-section of roots, pop, jazz, soul, and country.
