Grammy-Nominated Artist Mike Posner Releases Video For New Single ‘Move On’

Famed for his singles, ‘I Took A Pill In Ibiza’, and ‘Cooler Than Me’, Grammy-nominated, internationally platinum-selling, singer-songwriter Mike Posner, has released his new single, ‘Move On’. The track is from his upcoming third album, the long-awaited ‘A REAL GOOD KID’, which is set for release on January 18.

The creation and completion of ‘A REAL GOOD KID’ encompassed an extraordinary two year-plus period for Mike as he moved back into the house outside Detroit where he grew up, in order to stay with his terminally ill father during his final months. The album, which tells his story, deals heavily with love, loss and eventually acceptance.

‘Move On’ is just one track on the album which sees Mike dealing with the circumstances that have come his way; there’s also ‘Stuck In The Middle’, ‘How It’s Supposed To Be’, and ‘One More Song’ – but at the end of it we see Mike emerge as both musician and storyteller, finding in his melodies and lyrics, that beginnings always hide themselves in ends.

‘Move On’ is a deeply emotional track with an equally stirring video, featuring clips covering events in his life including the brain cancer and death of his father, the breakup of his relationship with his girlfriend, and the death of his good friend Avicii. He explains that he’s not had the best year or so, and he just wants to feel good. Sad as it might sound, the song is empowering: it talks about doing the things we want to do.

Posner also says that he’s going to walk across America – taking about a year to complete – starting on March 1 – because he wants to.
