Clayt – ‘Things I Gotta Say’

Clayt was originally from Newport News, Virginia, and developed a passion for music, which led him in 2014 to move to Atlanta, Georgia, after he’d made a name for himself in his local area. He was able to make a fresh start in one of hip hop’s hottest cities, and nowadays strives to use themes of art in his writing, sharing positive influences with the youth.

Clayt is a representative of the Mutant World Collective, and believes that if we can make people feel more comfortable with their gifts and ideas, we can not just save dreams, but also save lives.

The music video for Clayt’s latest track, ‘Things I Gotta Say’, was co-directed by Cinematic B, and Clayt himself, and opens with Clayt hugging his love just outside his front door. We move inside, to see her on the sofa, with him rapping. There’s pink lights and green lasers, and it’s clear Clayt knows exactly how to catch her attention.

Speaking about the video, Clayt said,

“’Things I Gotta Say’ is about telling someone how you feel but it’s definitely not your typical love song. That’s why I dig it so much. I think it’s one of those songs women will love but at the same time guys won’t feel corny saying the words. Everybody can relate and enjoy it.”
