Somatic Moon Set To Release Latest Single ‘Sober’

With a release date just before Christmas, New York based Somatic Moon’s song ‘Sober’ is a heart-wrenching song, written about a long battle with addiction. It’ll be available on all major digital platforms from 20 December.

Written about one of the members of the band, ‘Sober’ takes us through a personal struggle, which is sure to be relatable to many listeners. It’s an indie/alternative track, with ethereal vocals coupled with guitars, strings, drums, and trumpets.
There’s a Cranberries vibe to the track, and their inspirations include artists such as Radiohead, Portishead, and Massive Attack, and it’s this alternative sound which is the reason behind the impressive success of their debut EP, ‘Mess’, which was released in 2016. So far, ‘Mess’ has amassed over 168,000 streams and downloads, not bad for a debut!
Comprising Eve Lesov, Ricardo Rodriguez, and Michael Litvinenko, the trio each have their own strengths which they bring to the group, with Litvinenko writing and producing the songs, which are also co-written by Rodriguez and Lesov. On this track are also featured the beautiful trumpeting of Misha Kuznetsov, and sublime cello by the world-renowned Yoed Nir.
