Russian Artist Farrush Takes Us On A Dystopian Adventure With Debut Solo Single ‘Round Robin’

A classically trained pianist, Farrush is also an arranger, programmer, and electronic music producer. With a background in making commercial music, this is his first foray as a solo artist. His debut single, ‘Round Robin’, is available now.

From Moscow, in Russia, Farrush makes music which takes twists and turns in different directions and genres. Although his primary focus in the past has been producing orchestral arrangements for film and advertising, the artist has now decided it’s time to turn his attention to creating his debut electronic album.

‘Round Robin’ is a very exciting first release from the artist, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise given Farrush’s musical background. It’s a very upbeat electronic track, which makes the listener want to get up and dance right from the get-go, and which borrows from the past while using modern equipment. There’s a certain chiptunes quality to the track, but clearly Farrush is able to make good use of his musical talents; he fills the track with both classic composition styles and an interesting variety of sounds, ranging from ethereal vocals to electric buzzing and high pitched vibes.

It’s easy to hear Farrush’s background in advertising and cinema: ‘Round Robin’ has a soundtrack feel to it, conjuring up images of cars racing along the highway, or even an advertisement, film, or television programme set in a futuristic, dystopian world. Think ‘Blade Runner’, or even something like ‘Day Of The Triffids’, or ‘War Of The Worlds’. There’s a sense of urgency about the track which is very appealing and will make you want to play the track over and over again.

You can find out more about Farrush on his social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Russian social media site, VK.

‘Round Robin’ is available to stream and download from iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Yandex, Deezer, and CD Baby.
