James Kahil Releases New Single, ‘Forever’

Released on 30 November, Asian American pop singer James Kahil’s latest single is the feel good track, ‘Forever’. Based in Chicago, Kahil’s sound is similar to that of Maroon 5, and Lauv.

‘Forever’ was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Bryan Schwaller at Classick Studios, the same studio used by Chance The Rapper And The Social Experiment. The single blends pop hooks with a rap track’s bounce, coming together in a RnB sound, which earworms and remains in your head long after it’s finished.
James Kahil’s music has been described by EDM Sauce as head turning, with a songwriting ability which pegs him as an artist to watch. It’s therefore a surprise to discover that the artist spent weeks homeless on the streets of Chicago before finding his platform in music. His life has turned around completely, and he now has over 2000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with some of his singles, such as ‘Runaways’, being streamed over 10,000 times so far.
2018 has certainly been an exciting year for Kahil, and he is set to release his EP in the spring next year.
