Ha Phuong – ‘Memories of Love’

Ha Phuong is a singer, actress, producer, philanthropist, sister, wife, and mother. Most of all however she’s a New Yorker, who started her own foundation, bringing love, peace and happiness into the lives of underprivileged children. She is most definitely a shining example of “2018 Year Of The Woman”.



Born in Vietnam, Ha Phuong took inspiration from her upbringing, and with her two sisters, discovered the power of singing. She’s since released twelve solo albums, as well as many other CDs in both Vietnam and the USA. She’s also had a strong acting and movie producing career, with her next film, the upcoming dramatic thriller, ‘Finding Julia‘.

All profits from her music and dramatic careers is channelled into her philanthropy, which meet the needs of many children, both in Vietnam, and the US. The Ha Phuong Foundation provides musical instruments and curriculum and arts-based vocational training for underprivileged children. Ha Phuong was named the top donor to UNICEF, and has been a massive force in the Vietnam Relief Effort. She’s an excellent example to all women, including her two young daughters.

As if all that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, Ha Phuong has recently released her new music video, for her song, ‘Memories Of Love’. Directed by Alexey Wind, and Clementine Nguyen, we see Ha Phuong connecting with her listeners through a song inspired by the love which always prevails through any darkness. The song is dedicated to her husband; nonetheless it opens with an altar scene gone wrong. Her fiancé desperately tries to get to his own wedding despite a flat tyre, but after comandeering a bicycle, he is hit by a car. She refuses to abandon him, and sits by his bedside in the hospital, finding strength in their romance. Soon enough, their memories bring him back into consciousness as love is an all-powerful force, opening both their eyes to the power inside of them.
