Dublin Singer Songwriter ELLYD New Single ‘Sorge’ Out Monday November 5

Dublin singer songwriter ELLYD is set to finish off the year with a bang, by releasing her new single, ‘Sorge’. The highly anticipated track follows on from her successful track, ‘Close’, released over the summer, which saw massive airplay on Irish national radio. ‘Sorge’ is out on Monday November 5.

The song is guitar driven, combining ambient vibes with catchy, singalong lyrics. The release precedes ELLYD’s intimate gig, at The Vintage Room, in Dublin’s Workman’s Club, on Friday November 23.

ELLYD will not only perform her new single on the night, but also fan favourites, including songs from her debut EP, ‘Rise’, which reached the number 8 spot in the iTunes chart.

ELLYD, with her sultry, haunting vocals, has found herself compared to Gemma Hayes, and Skye Edwards. She first honed her talent by touring around Europe, before becoming a regular fixture on the Irish music circuit, where she played festivals, including Electric Picnic, and Indiependence, as well as top venues such as The Button Factory, Whelan’s, and The Workman’s Club.

ELLYD has received praise from a number of outlets over the years, including us, and notably, Today FM presenter Ed Smith said,

“Absolutely love her voice. She has a big future ahead of her, absolutely no doubt.”

ELLYD has today posted a teaser of the track on her Twitter account:
