Danii Roundtree – ‘Crave’

Retro goddess Danii Roundtree’s life revolves around music, which she coats with the colour pink – she literally sees the world through rose coloured glasses.

Raised in Miami, Danii is known for her charisma, powerful vocal range, and dynamic signature sound, with which she brings an unforgettable live performance to the stage. Her latest single, ‘Crave’, comes from her debut album, ‘Memoirs’, a collection of memories based on a storybook romance that ends before it even starts.

Discovering music at the age of 11, Danii took up singing and performing live, and attended the Dillard Center for the Performing Arts while in High School. This led her to the Berklee College Of Music, Boston, where she went on to study musical theater at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, in conjunction with The New York School, NYC. She eventually moved to Atlanta to further her career, and was chosen to be showcased in Broadway’s summer concert series, “Broadway’s Rising Stars”. She competed on American Idol in 2009, and has since garnered much critical acclaim.

The music video for ‘Crave’ sees Danii dressed as a pin-up girl, and she lets her heart lead the way as she becomes infatuated with a boy she’s just met, and she plays out the “love at first sight” fairytale. We see shots transitioning with images of their first date, along with shots of her singing from the stars. She breaks her reverie, going onstage with her backing vocalists, “The Coco Puffs”, contining to serenade her boy. The clip ends before the story truly begins, but there is more to come in future releases.
