AV Super Sunshine is back with his latest release, ‘Time Bomb’. The singer songwriter from Wisconsin has takes his overall musical inspiration from 70s era Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix, while ‘Time Bomb’ has been influenced by The Runaways’ classic, ‘Cherry Bomb’. ‘Time Bomb’ is from his upcoming release, ‘Candyland’, and there’s also a dance remix version of the album in the works.
AV wrote ‘Time Bomb’ after going cold turkey from the anti-depressant drug, Pristiq. Speaking of the experience he says,
” ‘Time Bomb’ was the perfect song hook because I felt like I was about to explode.”
The track has the same sort of kick to it as ‘Cherry Bomb’, but somewhat sweeter. It comes with a music video directed by long-time collaborator, Jared Sagal, and opens with AV and his lady love Philomena gazing at the Los Angeles city skyline from Runyon Canyon, and they run away from seemingly nothing. It has some great shots of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, including its tourists spending time contemplating the lives of the rich and famous rather than their own. if you know LA at all, you’ll love seeing West Hollywood, Hollywood & Highland Metro, and so on. It’s a great visual representation of running out the clock, trying to escape socially constructed concepts that should hold no bounds. The time bomb turns out to be a parking meter, showing that despite rejecting society’s rules, ultimately there are some we must still abide by regardless.
