Nadia Lanfranconi – ‘Italian Country Song’

Originally from the shores of Lake Como in Italy, Nadia Lanfranconi shows that country music has less to do with geography and more to do with a state of mind. Her new single, ‘Italian Country Song’, is very honest, funny, catchy, and irresistable.

Nadia has been writing and releasing music since 2008, when she debuted with her EP, ‘Bad Story’. Her songs tell her life story over a pure country groove accompanied by slide guitar, and she lays her soul bare, with a good sense of humour. Nadia isn’t so much about pick-up trucks and beer – she prefers coffee – but she swears by the holy trinity of Jesus, Johnny Cash, and just a little romance – the three things which make a good country song a great one.

Quite apart from her acting, Nadia is also an actress, with her screen credits including ‘Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders’, and ‘Entourage’. She therefore knows how to captivate viewers from in front of the camera, and this talent is on display in the video for ‘Italian Country Song’. Directed by Andrea “Vonjako” Giacomini, who has worked with her on her videos for ‘Always’, and ‘Let That Baby Ride’, we see Nadia as a real country girl, riding horses, climing trees, wearing boots and a wide hat, and sitting on the steps of a country church. We get to the halfway point however and she lets her roots shine through, and she waves her Italian flag proudly – and why not. Shot on the Paramount Ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains of California, and featuring some patriotic street art on West Pico Boulevard, in West LA, it’s a gorgeous, clip for a great song.
