Liverpool Trio ‘Little Grace Release Third Single ‘My Bed’

Liverpool-based contemporary R&B trio Little Grace. have released their third single, ‘My Bed’. Inspired by Tracey Emin’s art installation of the same name, the track connects all art forms, while at the same time exploring the important topic of mental health, and a percentage of earnings from the single will go to men’s mental health charity, CALM.

Little Grace have worked with Bristol-based drum and bass producer TC, German producer and DJ Robin Schulz (known for his work with James Blunt, and Nick Jonas), and Liverpool’s XamVolo. The Northern R&B scene is still in its infancy, and somewhat behind that of the south, but Little Grace hope to change that, with artists such as the afore-mentioned XamVolo, making waves.

In each of their previous singles, Little Grace have showcased their original sound, which takes inspiration from the likes of Motown, synth pop, contemporary electronica, and R&B. Their lyrics convey everyday life events through honest and unfiltered storytelling, relayed via smooth harmonies.

‘My Bed’ was written after a visit to The Tate Museum, and addresses the dangers of getting lost in your own worries and struggles. The video which accompanies the track was created by Spanish animators Eira Ramos, and Guillem Guarro, and at the halfway point the clip reverses, representing the vicious cycle that sufferers of mental health problems can get caught up in.

‘My Bed’ is available to stream and download now via all major platforms, while the video will be released on World Mental Health Day, October 10. This will be followed up by a live performance, hosted by XamVolo, at Constellations, Liverpool, on October 18.
