Conor Maynard Announced As Lead For Kinky Boots On Broadway

UK pop sensation Conor Maynard has been announced to take over the role of ‘Charlie Price’ in the the Tony Award®-winning musical ‘Kinky Boots’ at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, New York, beginning on November 20th 2018 until January 10th 2019.



Regarding his upcoming role in Kinky Boots, Conor says,

I’ve always truly admired the talent that performers on Broadway possess and performing alongside them is going to be a real challenge. I’m so lucky to have the most devoted fans on the planet, and I can’t wait to show them another side of me.”

Conor Maynard is taking over the lead Broadway role of ‘Charlie Price’ from the US star Mark Ballas. ‘Charlie Price’ is a role that has also been played on Broadway by the likes of Brendon Urie and Jake Shears in the past.

Conor is fast approaching 100 MILLION streams of his summer smash hit single ‘Whenever’. Recorded in collaboration with Kris Kross Amsterdam and The Boy Next Door, it was released via Spinnin’ Records/Parlophone at the end of June and has proven to be a huge international hit.

Now garnering well over a million streams every day, ‘Whenever’ has clocked up over 88 million plays on Spotify alone, featuring in their Global Top 50. The track is clocking up millions of further streams across other streaming platforms, including almost 10 million views of the video on YouTube:

The song is now charting in 25 countries, causing a huge wave of interest in Conor in the USA and has already been certified gold in The Netherlands, and Sweden, with many other countries soon to follow suit. In the UK it features on 20 of the most influential playlists across Spotify and Apple Music.

Conor Maynard has also been busy working on new music for his brand new album over the past few months in Los Angeles. He is returning to the UK later this month for a number of TV and radio appearances.
