Clay Dub, from South Los Angeles, has released the latest in his three part short film series. ‘Left Me For Dead’ released on 19 November, is the second track in this installation, and is a nod to his early inspirations, including Tupac, Nate Dogg, and J Cole.
‘Left Me For Dead’ is an upbeat hip hop track which demonstrates his lyrical skills as well as his talent for composition. The track aims to show how to defeat the non-believers and doubters who try and stop you from dreaming big. Clay Dub’s positive attitude is refreshing in the current atmosphere of negativity. Speaking of his 3 part short film song series, Clay said,
“Traditionally, people score films with music. Well I wanted to try something different and score music with a film. So, I took 3 of my original songs that have ENTIRELY nothing to do with one another, and wrote a 3-part story to them.”
