The 1975 Share Fan-Filled Video For New Single ‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME’

The 1975 have today released the new video for their track, ‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME’.

The video features frontman Matty Healy singing and dancing with fans, in front of screens which switch colour behind them. The video was shot back in late July, following an appeal by the band for interest in being in the video. Shot in London, the track is the second official single from The 1975’s upcoming third studio album, ‘A Brief Enquiry Into Online Relationships’.

It’s not the first time fans have featured in a music video, and we’re reminded of the video for ‘Paper Hearts’ by The Vamps, as well as Avril Lavigne’s lyric video for her song, ‘Rock N Roll‘ – which even featured Jedward (at around the 50 second mark):

‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME’ is upbeat and fun, and the fans involved in the video have quite rightly been vocal in their support. When asked on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 programme if he considered this track would be The 1975’s biggest hit, Healy said,

Yeah, I don’t know anything anymore mate, I don’t know what constitutes a hit. I just know that this is a song that I just objectively kind of listen to not necessarily as a ’75 song. It’s just something that sort of makes me really happy, and the video makes me kind of happier.

I don’t even care if it’s a hit. I just want our fans to hear it.

‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME’ is available to stream and download here. You can find out more about The 1975 from their official website.
