Snir Yamin – ‘Taking’

Originally from Israel but now based in New York, Snir Yamin  is a singer/songwriter whose personal and eclectic approach to his music bridge the gap between folk, pop, and rock. ‘Taking’ comes from his ‘Concrete City’ EP, released in 2016, and is an acoustic guitar led-track with laid back yet emotive vocals.

Snir cites among his inspirations the sound of talented performers such as Damien Rice, Jeff Buckley, Neil Young, and Elliott Smith, among others. His songs combine intricate melodies and a feeling of darkness and light. It’s easy to see the influence of Damien Rice on his music, with ‘Taking’ very reminiscent of the Irish artist’s style.
