Slothrust – ‘Double Down’

Boston-based trio Slothrust are full of rebellion with their latest single, ‘Double Down’.

Comprising singer/songwriter and guitarist Leah Wellbaum, as well as drummer Will Gorin, and bassist Kyle Bann, Slothrust first made their presence felt back in 2010 with their self-released EP, ‘The Demon(s)’. Since then they’ve released four more albums, with their most recent, ‘Show Me How You Want It To Be’, released in November last year. They’re also a touring machine, with a supportive base of diehard fans, and will be out on the road again for a full US tour starting in September.

The video for ‘Double Down’ sees Leah unapologetic about how she’s viewed by “normal” people. Strolling about a launderette like she owns it, she leans on customers, disrupts their activities, and causes a scene with everything she does, displaying her wild child ways.
