Naked Congress – ‘Falling’

We wrote about Naked Congress a few days back, with their track, ‘In My Room’. Now we’re privileged to share a second release, ‘Falling’, from the Swedish artist, who now bases himself in Germany.

Naked Congress, real name Magnus Bergentz, or Mazo to his friends, describes his project thus:

Naked Congress is whatever you want it to be. If you’re out driving in your car late at night – it might give you a melancholy feeling. If you’re stressed out – it might calm you down. If you’re in a bad mood – it might soothe you. Whatever happens when you listen to Naked Congress, good or bad, its alright.

This is what it’s all about – a naked meeting between you and me, through my music.
It doesn’t matter if you like, hate or love it – all that matters is – that it makes you feel something – something else than a comfortable numbness.

‘Falling’, as with our previously reviewed ‘In My Room’, is gentle electronica with Mazo’s voice hearkening back to the prog-rock stylings of early 10cc, Yes, and Procul Harum. At just under 3 and a half minutes long, ‘Falling’ isn’t a short track but we nonetheless wish it was a bit longer, we’re greedy for its sound and want to hear it over and over.
