Lauren Zettler – ‘Getaway’ (Bane Remix)

Bane, real name Adonis Shropshire, is a producer and songwriter, based in LA. His credits include co-writing Mariah Carey’s ‘I Stay In Love’; ‘My Boo’ by Usher and Alicia Keys; ‘I Need A Girl’, by P. Diddy; Chris Brown’s ‘Goodbye’; and ‘Summertime’, the B-side of Beyoncé’s ‘Crazy In Love’.

Bane has won two Grammy Awards for his work on albums by Mariah Carey, and Usher.

His remix of Lauren Zettler’s ‘Getaway’ is an ethereal track with haunting vocals laid on a bed of syncopated electronic rhythms. The vocal track is gentle and soothing, while the fast pace beats ensure it will be surefire dancefloor hit. ‘Getaway’ shares a similar soaring beat style with that of some of Bane’s other productions, such as his track ‘Napalm‘, but the comforting piano rhythms bring it back down to earth.
