Silver Spoon – ‘In the Heat of the Night’

Silver Spoon are a group of four friends from Oslo, Norway, who are the epitome of an overnight success actually being the result of a lifetime of hard work. Their new single, ‘In The Heat Of The Night’ is the perfect example of how dedication to your craft pays off.

Comprising lead singer/guitarist Cristiano Sadun, bassist Vittorio Pinelli, Jørn Wangensteen Larsen on guitar, and drummer Morten Haga, Silver Spoon bring together Nordic style and Mediterranean flair, with Sadun and Pinelli both having been born and raised in Italy. The result is perfect – a heady mix of classical guitars and romantacised melodies, combined with modern rock and roll.

The video for ‘In The Heat Of The Night’ shows a woman fighting negative thoughts which threaten to put her off her dreams: she marches forward in step with the band who are effectively her personal soundtrack. Reminding us of the likes of The Eagles, Dire Straits, and other guitar bands from the late 70s and 80s, Silver Spoon have a passion and talent that the world is all the better for them having shared it.
