Nina Nesbitt – A Fiery Performance At The Great Escape

Nina Nesbitt was one of a few better-known names to feature at The Great Escape, a festival in Brighton which showcases unsigned, or lesser known bands and artists from around the world.

Playing at the Sallis Benney Theatre, one of The Great Escapes biggest stages, Nina was anticipated to be one of the best acts The Great Escape festival has ever seen, and boy did she deliver. Despite having a smoke machine trigger the smoke alarms during her entrance, causing a whole evacuation of the building, Nina still pulled off a night to remember.

Nina’s kind nature was made apparent when she left the building to hug and apologise to all her fans who were evacuated briefly. After a short wait, the gig was resumed to carry on, even with the few audience members left.

Charming, funny and all round beautiful in her floor-length white jumpsuit, Nina apologised for the delay. Despite a small turn out, she still filled the room with her new, as yet unreleased music, an eclectic mix between synthesised pop and her unique countryesque sound. Describing the hilarious, and sometimes emotional origins of each song – the crowd laughed, cried and danced along.

Nina Nesbitt created a personal experience for each member of the audience while at the same time still filling the room with the sound of her powerful voice.

Nina really did make this a night to remember and a gig I will never forget. With her upcoming album, due to be released later this year and currently in the middle of a UK tour, we are sure Nina Nesbitt is someone to watch out for in 2018.
