John Tracy – ‘Home’ (Lyric Video)

John Tracy’s new single ‘Home’, the first release from his forthcoming album, ‘Quintessential’, takes us on a musical journey and gives us the soundtrack for our lives.

With a reputation for crafting authentic lyrics and music, and raw genuine songs which cut straight through to the heart of the matter and connect with our spirit, John Tracy, from Richmond, Virginia, elicits a reaction from listeners that “he is singing what I’m thinking”; he gets right into the crux of it. When asked why he creates music, Tracy replied:

“I believe people want to feel. We all want to feel alive. We want to feel hope, excitement, peace, joy. Sometimes we just want to cry. I believe music is the catalyst that can awaken this in all of us. That’s why I write music filled with stories of real life – to help us have that vehicle to experience each day with all of our emotions ignited.”

Seventh album, ‘Quintessential’, is set for release in June next year, and with it Tracy once again proves that he can deliver on his promises. ‘Home’ is a country track, filled with guitars and a ramping percussive beat, and comes with a lyric video which makes clever use of home movies and vintage footage, laid behind the words. We’re transported to a bygone era, when things were a little easier, a little more honest, a little less stressful. In the end, the message is always the same, wherever we roam, there’s no place like home.
