Diplo And Mark Ronson Unveil Collaborative Project
‘Silk City’ Ahead Of Festival Dates

Diplo and Mark Ronson have joined forces on their collaborative project, Silk City. Their first release, ‘Only Can Get Better’, features Daniel Merriweather, came out yesterday on Columbia Records.

The single comes after the duo’s surprise appearance last week in Los Angeles, and ahead of Electric Daisy Carnival’s Wide Awake Art Car, in Las Vegas this weekend.

Next weekend will see Silk City’s festival debut at the Governor’s Ball Music Festival in New York, where they’ll be playing the Bacardi Stage at 8pm (EST) on Saturday June 2. Their next date after that will be Bestival, which will be held in Dorset, UK, 2-5 August.

‘Silk City’ is named for the Philidelphia diner where the pair first used to DJ in the early 2000s. Diplo, born Wes Pentz, and Mark Ronson, have been longtime friends, but Silk City is the first official collaboration for the pair, who between them have been nominated for or won a total of 11 Grammy Awards, and gone platinum multiple times.
